Responsibilities

As a Bartender at Garrick Hotel, your role will involve a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall success of our bar operations. Here’s a glimpse into what you’ll be doing:

1. Organize and set up the bar: You’ll ensure that the bar area is well-prepared, clean, and fully stocked with necessary supplies, creating an inviting atmosphere for our valued customers.
2. Maintain cleanliness: Keeping the bar area spotless is crucial. You’ll take pride in washing glassware and maintaining cleanliness standards, ensuring a visually appealing and hygienic environment.
3. Beverage knowledge: As a friendly and knowledgeable Bartender, you’ll engage with customers, providing information about our cocktail creations and other beverage offerings, helping them make the perfect choice to suit their taste preferences.
4. Cash handling: Efficiently and accurately handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, or any other payment methods when customers settle their beverage bills, ensuring a seamless payment process.
5. Operate cash register and video lottery terminal: You’ll be responsible for managing the cash register and operating the video lottery terminal in compliance with established procedures, ensuring precise tracking of sales and maintaining accurate records.
6. Record and balance sales: Maintaining meticulous records of beverage sales and balancing the cash register at the end of your shift will be part of your routine.
7. Inventory management: Properly store beverage and food products, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and ensuring the availability of supplies when needed.
8. Address customer concerns: Promptly and professionally address any customer complaints or concerns, striving to resolve issues and exceed customer expectations.
9. Compliance with regulations: Adhere to provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, ensuring responsible service and a safe environment for all patrons.
10. Prepare and serve beverages: Showcase your mixology skills by crafting delicious mixed drinks, pouring wine, draft or bottled beer, and preparing non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair.
11. Take orders: Efficiently and accurately take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
