Position Overview:

  • Salary: $25.50 hourly / 30 hours per week

Requirements:

  • Language: English
  • Education: College/CEGEP or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities:

As a Video Technician, you’ll be responsible for:

  1. Operating Mixing, Dubbing, and Editing Machinery and Equipment:
    • This involves proficiently managing and using various equipment essential for video production. It includes handling mixing boards, dubbing machines, and editing software/tools to ensure seamless production workflows.
  2. Handling Audio-Visual and Electronic Equipment:
    • The role requires adeptness in operating a diverse range of audio-visual and electronic devices crucial for recording, playback, and editing purposes. This could encompass cameras, microphones, monitors, and other specialized equipment.
  3. Managing Videotape Recording and Playback, Including Post-Production Editing:
    • The Video Technician is responsible for the entire lifecycle of video content. This involves not only recording but also managing playback equipment and utilizing editing software to refine and enhance the footage after production.
  4. Setting Up, Operating, and Adjusting Audio Recording and Reproducing Equipment:
    • This responsibility involves configuring, utilizing, and fine-tuning audio recording devices to capture high-quality sound inputs. It includes managing various audio equipment like microphones, soundboards, and editing software to ensure optimum sound quality in the final video output.
